actually a contest entry for fane club, for the topic called 'Boss battle'. My favourite Spro game has always been 'Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer' (or known as 'Ripto's Rage' depending on which country u bought the game in). So I had to do the final boss battle for that game , sooooo many happy memories came back to me whilst I was drawing this enjoy
Would you mind very much if I used this in a YouTube video?
This is just too awesome!!! ^__^
Thanks for ruining the ending for me...I CAN'T FINISH THAT GAME!!!
i remember this. that stage in the battle was no problem for me. i think it was stage 2 that got me. the one when he mounts the big robot i think it was? my memory is still a bit foggy.
Oh man, I remember beating this guy at the last inch... Had no more health left, and I shot that fireball thingy just before Ripto shot his laser thingy, and I hit him just before he hit me... Oh my God that was the best moment of my childhood... xD
Oh the memories~
BEST. BOSS BATTLE. EVER.
it sooooooo was
I beat the boss in one go without knowing it! XD
haha lol, I can't remember if I beat Ripto in one go the first time round it was so long ago , I 've beaten that boss hundreds of times since I got that game in 2000
Spyro 2 was the first Spyro game we got. We liked it and bought the first one and eventually the third.
Spyro 2 was also my 1st spyro game, me and my brother played it at my cousins to begin with, then we got our own playstation and got that one first, then we got the 3rd one for christmas and then we both saved up for the 1st one with our pocket money last
Have you noticed the bird make a airplane noise?
Yes! I noticed that, every time it flew away from you
I think he's more annoying in "Enter the Dragonfly".
I found that, but then again, I didn't really enjoy 'enter the dragonfly' that game was way too short for my liking :/
It seemed you spent so much time in one area just to try for 100% just to defeat Ripto.
yeah, I honestly think they could of expanded the dragon realm a lot more than they did, although the way that you could just walk between the different areas of the dragon realm was alright, but they did it a lot better in 'A Hero's tail'I thought
I played Hero's Tail in 2005 and got stuck on red, but a few years later I beat the game like nothing. The only levels I really liked in Enter the Dragonfly was Circle Crop Country and Theives Den.
'Enter the dragonfly' was really easy, I remember I got it for Christmas 2002, and I had beaten the game 100% just before new years. My mum was not pleased, she kind of expects game to last at least 1 month before I'm bored with it. I can't really say I've played it much (if at all) since :S. I can't really remember what my favourite level was, but something is telling me that it was either 'Theives Den'or 'Cloud 9'. As for 'A Hero's Tail' I did enjoy that game a lot more, I got that for Christmas as well (in 2004 I think) that one took me a bout 3 months to beat 100%. It felt tough at the time, but now, I'd doubt it would be much of an issue to complete
NICE DRAWING! :0
what a beautifull and happy moments and memories it brings me to me spyro 2 and 3 was the firsts videogames that i played
spyro 2 was the 1st video game I ever played too , I remember feeling so proud after beating Ripto for the 1st time. Moments like that will stay with us classic Spyro fans forever
I LOVE SPYRO THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER COMPUTER GAME
gahh so many memories
gahh so many memories
my first computer game was Rayman, but this spyro game was one of my earlier games aswell, but definitely my favourite
Looks nice and really good!
In my opinion, this is the best boss battle in the whole Spyro series including LoS. It's so intense. This is great work by the way. Looks like that attack is about to hit Spyro. Wish you could have done more on the background though, like including the bricks in the wall and such. I like how you drew Spyro's wings and his face, not so much for the paws as they look like dog paws. Ripto's stance is cool, but I don't really like his face, he looks a bit feminine. Other than that it's great. Hope you don't mind a bit of criticism.
no worries, I'm open to some constructive criticism, I'm not feelin to bad about this picture, considering this is the first time I've drawn either of these characters, but although, I did want to add more to the background, unfortunately time wasn't on my side at the time, and since this is meant to be a competitions piece, so I doubt I'd be allowed to improve this pic now anyway, but when its over, hopefully I'll be able to do a new and better one
